The spore shrub is a new type of shrub that grows in the pale garden. The plant blooms at night and can only be picked at this time. At day all you will find is an empty root structure, (The roots only occur with naturally generating spore shrubs.)
Now onto why it's called the spore shrub, at night it will give off orange spores, giving off a unique ambiance. To stop it from clashing with the falling leaves, I propose they stop falling in the nighttime. Picture this, night approaches, the eye blossoms open up, the spore shrubs bloom, casting orange spores through the air, then something awakens...
To add a bit of an extra challenge to the biome, when you step or walk into the spore shrub, your vision will turn orange and hazy. Looking at the creaking won't stop it while you have this effect.
I haven't worked out if the plant is bone meal-able or should it be renewable? If it's renewable, after you've picked it, it will rebloom the following night from the root structure. And if you pick it up and place it down, should it disappear in the daytime and reappear at night? I'm thinking renewable.
In summary, Mojang should add this because:
- It makes it feel more like a garden.
- It adds ambiance to the pale garden.
- It adds an extra challenge to the garden.
- It's a new decoration.
This is certainly a positive addition. While I understand, Mojang is wrapping up the creaking update, maybe they could come back around and add a few suggested features like spore shrubs and pale pumpkins?
