The Charbone is a wyvern-like creature made of bones, native to the Nether Wastes. It's a neutral mob, and it adores gold. So much so that it spends all the time it can sleeping on the pile of gold blocks, nether gold ore, and gilded blackstone that it can. There are only three ways it will wake up:
- If one of the golf blocks is mined or destroyed.
- If the Charbone is attacked.
- If there is a Piglin nearby.
Charbone's and Piglins hate each other. Why? Because, to get all the gold that the Charbone has, it stole it from Bastion Remnants. Where else could it get gilded blackstone? So, both these mobs attack each other on sight. The Charbone will either attack its enemies with its claws, teeth or fire (the Charbone breathes soul fire, by the way).
But what happens if the Charbone goes to sleep, but there's no gold in its lair? It starts flying towards the nearest gold source. If there's a gold block/item on the ground, and the Charbone isn't attacking anything, or asleep, it'll go to the block/item, pick it up, and continue on its merry way. Charbones have a considerable amount of health. Not a lot, but not too little. It is an undead mob (due to the fact that it's made of bones) and is immune to fire. It can also fly, but might also swim in lava, if there isn't enough space to fly.
I think this would be a good addition to the game. Not only would players learn to be more careful when mining gold blocks in the nether, but they could also use it as a defence mechanism (sort of?).
