Players should be able to coat their armor with resin to harden it. It allows for early game versions of Unbreaking and Absorption, while also giving incentive to continuously return to the pale garden. However, the coating would wear off, probably with similar code to how phantoms spawn. It also damages and cracks over time, which makes the effect of the damage absorption not work as well. While I do admit this isn't really balanced, if implemented with features like making the Creaking run faster than the player, and decreasing other mob spawns in the garden, it still gives enough of a challenge to the player to make it a fair addition to the game, especially since players have to worry about multiple Creakings to look at.
