The pale garden could have thorns on the trees, in some trunk blocks of the new tree there could be small thorns as if they were small tree barks, these thorns would be a way of demonstrating a more threatening look to the biome, when you touch them you would lose half a heart or be 1 damage, it's just a detail to scare you into thinking it's a creaking, the thorns could be collected when you were to peel the trunk, this way you would have tree bark thorns, who knows they could be used to craft some type of trap, creaking would also have the power of thorns, he would use this power when the player climbed a tower 3 to 6 blocks high, the creaking would connect to the player's block tower to create thorns on the block the player is stepping on , it would only be 1 damage, taking away half a heart, just a way of trying to expel the player from the block tower.
