As of right now, there is no way to artificially set up a biome, yes we can transport all the blocks and trees, and make it look like that biome. But what if there was a way too make it officially recognized as a biome, bringing with it all the mob spawning rules and special effects.
Players have the cool ability to create their own villages, by transporting villagers, giving them a bell, beds, and workstations players can basically set up they own official structure. It will even start spawning iron golems and cats! This is really cool and allows for a lot of maneuverability and creativity. What if you could do the same for any biome?
It wouldn't be simple, my idea is this;
Say I want a cherry blossom biome near my base, or I want to design a cherry blossom biome in a good shape. I would go to a cherry blossom biome, grab a bunch of saplings, and a bunch of pink flowers. By growing at least five cherry blossom trees in the desired location, and placing an appropriate amount of pink flowers (depends on how many trees I planted), and getting rid of other things (like different trees or sunflowers) from the original biome, it becomes a biome in progress. Little particle effects appear to show you that you have accomplished your goal. The next day the grass has changed to the appropriate color, it is now officially a cherry blossom biome! Most importantly it now spawns the correct mobs (in this case, pigs).
This could be more complex, but imagine the benefits!
