Resinous Perceiver: A New Redstone Block with Multiple Unique Uses

The resinous watcher is crafted with an eye of ender, and 8 resin surrounding it. This block has multiple purposes.

 

Firstly, looking at the watcher causes it to emit a redstone signal, the strength is dependent on the distance you are from it.

 

You can link a spyglass to the watcher, similar to how you can link a compass to a lodestone. It makes the spyglass enchanted as well. Looking through this spyglass, allows you to see out of the eye of the watcher block, as if your head was there instead. This allows for a camera system in Minecraft, and it also loads the chunks the watcher is in when the spyglass is used. Spyglasses can be enchanted with curse of vanishing as well.

 

This function has a secondary use. When the linked spyglass is looked through, the watcher emits a redstone signal. This allows the player to have a wireless redstone remote in their inventory, to activate redstone contraptions from a click of a button. Clicking on the watcher block closes it's eye, which stops the detection of players looking at the watcher. It also makes it so looking through a linked spyglass doesn't cause your camera POV to change, making the remote have less visual clutter.

    Resin is a new feature coming in the pale oaks, and it is created near creaking hearts when you hit the creakings bound to them.

    Resin is a new material found in the pale garden as of MC Preview 1.21.50.25, in case you don't know.

    There could also be a calibrated version crafted with a Resinous Perceiver, 4 amethyst shards and 4 armadillo scutes. The calibrated Resinous Perceiver will only give out a certain signal strength if the player looks at it from a specific distance.

    I suggest that by crafting it with amethyst you get the calibrated perceiver (somebody else mentioned a similar idea in the comments, but I had this idea independently of them, so I'll still share it), the calibrated perceiver can sense you looking at it through walls. Imagine a secret base, the door would only open if you looked at a seemingly normal wall with a calibrated perceiver hidden behind it!

    There could also be an inverted version crafted with a Resinous Perceiver, echo shards and 4 tinted glass. The Inverted Resinous Perceiver will give out a redstone signal unless the player looks at it. The inverted perceiver can sense you looking at it through walls if the mode is enabled by right clicking on on the block.

    bring back the old redstone setting so then all the big contraptions will work again

    OP here. Some changes I would make are. 

    1: Adding some redstone dust to the recipe would make more sense.

    2: The Redstone strength is 1-15 when you look at the resinous eye. The eye emits a comparator output when you look through a linked spyglass, and it's strength is dependent on how many people are looking through it. 

    3: There was an issue of this activating stasis chambers in far away chunks for instant teleportation. The Resinous Eye will now only emit a comparator output when the linked spyglass user is within 32 blocks.
