Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Bramble Jaw block/Bramble vines

These blocks are only found in the pale garden and live in patches containing to at least 6 or more of these blocks, the appearance of the block has the form of a mouth with a grass block like texture to camouflage, it can change colors depending on the biome it’s in. Over time the blocks will grow sentient tentacle like vines that deal 2-3 Health points and will slow down the player if walked through, and even without the vines the mouth will still deal damage to you if stood on for too long, although it won’t do this if it has vines grown already. To obtain these jaw blocks they must be picked up with a silk touch tool.

    Sounds similar to the sculk jaw that was scrapped.
