Giving Dark Oak Leaves a Unique Texture Like Pale Oak Leaves

Dark Oak leaves share the same texture as Oak leaves, which makes using them as distinct building material blocks rather pointless. It is likely that they were given this texture because they belong to the ”Oak” family. However, the Pale Oak, a new addition to the “Oak” family, features leaves with a unique texture.

Why does the Pale Oak have its own distinct leaf texture, even though it is part of the “Oak” family? It’s likely because adding leaves that look identical to Oak leaves wouldn’t be exciting for players.

With the upcoming update that introduces new Oak species, why not take the opportunity to refresh the texture of Dark Oak leaves?

    It is different since the texture update, but since the tint is the same it still feels a little bit too similar...

    They should change the Dark Oak Leaves texture to a green version of the Pale Oak Leaves texture.
