This is a really cool concept, although somewhat lacking in its current state. As many have suggested, fog would really add to the atmosphere of the biome, as well as some unique flora (or/and the white pumpkins). The biome is currently not very 'gardeny'. Maybe the trees could be less densily packed, and the fog could instead limit the visibility.

There is currently no reward for going to the biome so I recommend some sort of a reward that could be found deep in the centre of the biome. Could be found inside a new structure?

make fog in the biome, or new type of plants

or something that would be cool, is a way to spread the biome naturally. from that, it can take over other biomes. obviously, there will be limitations, but it would be cool

Pale wood, leaves, moss, etc. shouldn't burn. It defeats the threat of the Creaking if you can go crazy with a flint and steel and expose all of the creaking hearts. Plus, it would add to the otherwordly creep-factor of the biome, and it would be nice to have a nonflammable wood type outside of the Nether.

To add to the "garden" in the name, without potentially compromising the mood of the biome like a new flower being added directly to it could, maybe Sniffers could dig up a new type of seed if you take them to the Pale Garden

This biome is way too rare, it also needs a unique structure.

It needs a structure and more plant life to reflect the name, and also just to make it more interesting.

And maybe the trees could look more like willow trees.

Make the creaking heart drop experience and a new ingredient item.

Adding FOG to that biome is really good it adds more immersion to be a scarry biome

It should be a "garden" of spooky plant variety, not a forest (otherwise should be renamed "Pale Forest") -- white and grey pumpkin patches, eerie decorative flowers. Maybe ruins of a graveyard garden or stones as a small structure with loot. It needs more incentive to visit than primarily white wood. Perhaps players can control using the creaking mob as a base protector. Add tameable corvids (this has been requested by many for years).

I think it would be great that you wouldn't be able to sleep in or nearby a Pale Garden. That way you can't easily escape the Creaking, and have to actually "survive". And for an in-game reason why you wouldn't be able to sleep in the Pale Garden they can just do anything, like for example: You woke up because you heard a creaky noise or had a nightmare... etc.

Add fireflies to the Pale Garden as an ambient mob. Fireflies could look like a Creaking's eyes from far away, adding to the spooky nature of the biome.

Pale Oak trees should have a chance to spawn a taller, wider variant like regular oak trees. The increased height of the tree helps to give the feeling of the player being small and gives a building challenge to destroy its creaking heart. This also helps with the pale gardens biome silhouette at a distance as the random tall trees make the biome look overgrown and daunting.

The biome has a very unique atmosphere, and the sounds and visuals are very eerie and well done. However, some things could use some changes:

    • Rename the trees and wood to something other than "pale oak", maybe willow?
    • Additional vegetation, maybe dead bushes, maybe something new
    • Make the tree look different, it's pretty much just a dark oak tree, and it looks very different to the sapling
    • The creaking deals very little damage, it doesn't feel very dangerous

The biome idea itself isn't bad, but the biome looks like a copy of the Dark Forest because of the shape of the trees. Please make the shape of the trees more different.

"Garden" implies an abundance of diverse vegetation but right now this space in the world is somewhat bland. The experience and atmosphere would be enhanced by introducing a small variety of native plant life to this area and provides an opportunity for the existing pale moss block to share a similar functionality to its lush counterpart- where introducing bonemeal causes a spontaneous spreading of various plants and overgrowth items. I've also seen a white or pale pumpkin variant as a common wish in the community and it seems like a very fitting addition for a "spooky" type of space in the world like this. The warped and crimson biomes in the nether come to mind, which are each overgrown with interesting, alien plants- something like this would help the pale garden further capture the eerie vibe implied.

This contributes the the risk vs reward experience that seems intended here with a mob designed to introduce an eerie vibe to certain parts of the world, where there would now be more reasons to seek out or visit for items exclusive to an area where a novel danger also lurks.

For a more imposing atmosphere, the trees could be taller with a more developed, gnarled growth similar to the willow trees that were looked at when conceptualizing the pale oak. This would create a strong distinction from the regular dark oak growth, and allow the biome to stand out from a distance if it were to be seen towering above a natural adjacent forest or swallowing the border of nearby plains.

I think a white/pale version of the pink flower carpets from the cherry blossom biome would add a good level of detail to these biomes.

Also, as other people have said, a thick fog effect in this biome is an absolute must to create the creepy atmosphere it deserves.

taller trees. if you want a creepy biome, have the trees taller. imagine the noise you experience in a forest when you just hear the trees swaying in the wind, creaking as they move. its seems perfect for this biome. and it makes the biome more unique, keep the leaves as they are for the darkness they provide but have the trees taller. somewhere between 10-20 block tall, is imposing and creepy

I Made a world where I started in a pale garden, and made a house, but unlike most wood types the default chest does not match the white wood and made it look a little weird, so white chest?

    • The name Pale Garden doesn't really fit so it could use flowers and other types of plants such as a white pumpkin, maybe a white pumpkin can have a different expression, like a sad expression.
    • If there aren't plans to add more plants then it should just be called Pale Forest.
    • The dirt should also be greyscaled, so either making a new system that changes the dirt saturation or just making a new grass block with desaturated dirt and grass would be cool.
    • Fog is something I've been hearing other people mention as well and I 100% agree with that, it's a small biome so that would be great.
    • Biome could also be a bit bigger.
    • Pale Trees should also be taller, growing at diverse angles, similar to willow trees.

Make that the pale oak tree seems unique like the mangrove tree or cherry tree, beacause for the moment the biome is too similar to dark oak forest in top view, exept the color of leaves

unique structure blow the hearts or another unique block/tree. currently there is no reason to enter the biome in the day time let alone at night. maybe having a unique tree like the azalea , but it looks identical to the regular pale trees, except at night where it could blossom, revealing it has a structure below. maybe a grave stone this special tree has grown over. you wouldn't otherwise notice this tree in the day giving us a reason to go and explore the garden during a night time forcing us to encounter the creaking.

I do adore the foliage seen in this biome, however it still doesn't seem like a garden to me. My solution to this is -> Since its a sub biome of the Dark Forest, what about a new variant of mushrooms? Or a different type of flower? Flowers would be tricky to implement into this biome since its wanting to look spooky, but flowers, on the other hand, are pretty, so my solution is a Bat Flower, a droopy, but elegant grayish-purple flower. I feel like it'd suit the biome wonderfully.
I've heard talks of white pumpkins, which would be a wonderful addition for decoration and food!
As for a mushroom, I feel like the Enoki or Death Cap mushroom would work well. The Death Cap could inflict poison on the player, maybe once grabbed?
I feel like these additions would make this biome feel much more like a garden. Although, dont go over the edge, adding too much to one biome would look sloppy!

So far from playing this snapshot for about 30 minutes, I really like it, but there could be some improvements. I feel like the biome is a bit too small, at least the ones I found were. The foliage could use some changes as well, like the grass and moss, I feel like the difference in brightness between the two is a bit too noticeable. Could add some new plants/variants as well (perhaps all existing flowers but withered?). You could add some completely new things as well, like, for example, fireflies would fit in really well, not only for ambiance, but to also add more camo for the creaking (glowing eyes). Another cool thing would be to change some things based on the moon phases. For instance, when there is a full moon, make the creaking have a bigger range around their hearts, make them hit harder and make them faster, or something similar. Great features so far and can't wait to see how you improve them and what new features get added/changed. Ly Mojang <3

if you were to add some monochrome flora it would really emphasise the desaturated feel. The Pale pumpkin has been suggested elsewhere which is a great idea but you could add just some white flowers  or black / grey flowers to just add to the feel.

honestly i like this alot smaller updates are a great change also some of my favorite minor changes would be fog and taller trees i dont think the biome should always have fog tho i think maybe only when theres a creaking nearby the fog effect applies kinda like the warden and taller trees i feel like should be added with only a chance of spawing kinda like a large spruce or jungle tree that way there are a few new trees but not complete change to the biome also i think this is a perfect time to add the white pumkin from minecraft story mode

There could be a woodland mansion made of pale oak wood.
