We already have the news about the next drop. Let's take the good and unique things we were shown and find a way to bring something new to the game.
What I propose is a new mechanic with the "Creaking Heart":
To start, how? Well, we already saw that you can get the Creaking Heart with a silky touch. But honestly summoning an enemy that does not benefit us as players is not a good idea. I propose that by placing this block, the player connects with it, in the same way that the new mob does. Now, obviously we cannot obtain a mechanic that gives us "immortality" conditional on a block (especially taking into account that only a mob can break blocks). So, if you allow me, let me give you the specifications that in my opinion could balance this mechanic.
First, clarify that it is NOT "an extra life" like the totem we already have, the idea is to add something fresh and unique. So, if it's not an extra life, what is it? It is a block (Similar in operation to the beacon) that when placed, right-clicking, the player is linked and 10 more hearts of health are added. This probably sounds broken, but I still have several specifications to give
1._ This effect only works within a range of 20 blocks from where the Creaking Heart was placed
2._ Extra hearts cannot be regenerated by eating
3._ When there are no extra hearts left, the Creaking Heart will break.
4._ The effect of the Creaking Heart cannot be accumulated.
