Please, keep in mind that english is not my first language, so there may be some spelling mistakes, please excuse me.
I recently had a revelation on a dream (lol) about a cool idea for the upcoming Creaking to work, what if, instead of directly tracking the player in a linear way, it opted to chase the player in somewhat of a spiral pattern, as to avoid being look at, i think this would give the mob a more eerie aspect.
So, the way it would work was to, as soon as the player broke line of sight with The Creaking, it would first strafe to the right or left in a diagonal towards the player, it would keep doing that until stared to, so that it keeps getting closer but keeps on changing its position making it harder to keep track of, and even would look as if it was actively searching for cover behind objects like trees, if it cant find a valid strafe track, it can also advance directly towards the player, so that it doesnt finds itself stuck on a cornice or tree.
As i stated before, i think this would give it more of an eerie aura, differentiating it from a weeping angel thingy, also, im no programmer so i dont know how hard it would be to code that kind of behavior, but i think its a cool idea.
