Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Keep it an enemy forever. Its a love hate relationship, you can manipulate it, but never tame it. It'd also require some heavy new changes to current mobs interacting with this mob.

It'd completely undervalue the Iron Golem, the Creaking is immortal, would eventually kill its target or be in a forever blink contest with ranged mobs, and be so inefficient if it also couldn't move while other mobs were looking at it, assuming you want the mob to be consistent in its sight gimmick. Since its considered a hostile mob initially, it'd probably always go 1v1, exception being grouped attackers.

If hostile mobs could attack the Creaking by breaking the Creaking Heart it'd make it very weak or have some weird explanation why suddenly mobs can break blocks which wouldn't be consistent within Minecraft.

It's just not suited to be tamable/befriended. I keep seeing this idea, but it hasn't been thought out through enough, it's way too finicky, either a overpowered immortal golem or a underpowered statue sprinkler for a small crop field. I'm pretty sure you can pull off some unique sight-based redstone with this mob too, not just for defense purposes.
