While I personally play Minecraft for the atmosphere, I've seen a lot of players with compulsions to min-max everything complain that some of the newer dangerous biomes don't give them much reason to return or even venture in the first place. Because of this I came up with an idea for a new type of Respawn-Anchor-like totem. I'd imagine it as a late game thing, so the recipe could be things like soul sand or chorus fruit or echo shards. After you craft it you place it down and it gives some type of buff like a new status effect or holding inventory after death, but it doesn't do anything until you power it, and it loses power after use. To power it you need to get drops from a new wisp mob, like the one in Dungeons. This ghosty thing only appears where it's very dark and very quiet, which is the explanation for why it only spawns in Ancient Cities or the Pale Garden, maybe Warped Forests too. Because this wisp mob only spawns in these biomes in the dark, players would have more incentive to revisit those biomes in order to power their totems. If you want to really go in on this, there could be multiple wisp types that drop different things with unique effects on the totem's power up.
