For my first suggestion, I think the team should add more plants to the Pale garden. Since its called the pale "garden", I think it would be cool to have some more new plants. These could be related or unrelated to the creaking, and become a new food item. It'd also be cool if the Creaking had different looks, like eye position, or torso size.
For my second suggestion, A new boss idea. The creaking is a cool challenge on the own, but there's really no point in defeating them, but what if you got something from the hearts that could spawn a new boss? First, we would need a new structure, and I call it a Pale Labyrinth. These can be entered above ground and stretch underground in a modified stronghold structure. This structure can give mid tier, to high tier items, but there are a bunch of different mobs within the Labyrinth, similar to the Trail chambers. What's the goal of this structure? That's where the boss comes in. My idea is:
- When you mine a creaking heart, you have a 20-30% change of getting a "Soul Essence".
- If you have 8 or more Soul Essence, you can spawn the boss.
- In the Pale Labyrinth, you will have to find the "shrine room".
- Here, you will put in 8 soul Essence, and summon the boss.
What about the boss, what does it do? My boss idea is: The Lurker.
- The Lurker has 500 hearts
- The Lurker can summon vines from the ground, similar to the Illager
- The Lurker can jump towards the player, causing a big AOE
- The Lurker can reach out and grab a player and pull them towards it
