For years Bedrock and Java have had very different experiences with the Wither, I have an idea that will completely solve this problem while simultaneously adding new late game content. It is (drum roll) Boss Omens! Boss Omen effects are started by drinking a ominous potion within the radius of a boss doing so will start a much harder but more rewarding fight. The visual changes will include the posses health bar turning from pink to purple a skull appearing next to their name and the boss changing to a brand new skin to give it some visual flare. The bedrock wither is practically a Boss Omen fight already so the java wither will be the default on both platforms. Similarly the Ender dragon and any other future bosses will also gain a massive number of new attacks and abilities that makes them far more challenging. With more challenge comes greater rewards. Each boss will have their own exclusive ominous drop that can't be gotten in the default loot table. They will also have a randomized bonus loot table to go along with their other rewards and on top of all that they will drop a massive amount of exp orbs. I genuinely would love this concept to come to life and am curious what designs and rewards you could come up with for the Boss Omen Event. Ty for reading my idea it means so much to me 🤎
