Beacons are pretty outdated.. and need a rework.
I should be able to kill general mobs (such as creepers, zombies, skeletons, spiders) in 1 swing, with my Sharpness V sword. I believe improving the damage dealt to these mobs when in the beacons' range should be an addition to the game, or at least providing a greater strength buff instead of what it currently offers.
Players should be able to have this level of strength in their world because beacons are such a late-game feature. I've reached late-game and put the best enchantments on my armour and tools, yet I can't 1-shot these mobs?
Another idea which came to mind is a new type of effect you can select on the beacon. Let's call it "Armour Enhancement". The gist of Armour Enhancement is that it provides a boost to the particular armour set you selected/have equipped. This boost can change depending on the type of armour you have on.
For example, if you're wearing Gold Armour, you receive an "Increased XP Gained" effect. I can see this would be useful in the Nether, as Players could be mining quartz, gold, trading with Piglins.
If you were wearing Iron Armour, you would receive an "Increased Protection Gained" effect. This can be for general use, as Iron Armour isn't powerful or has a particular niche in which it fills.
If you're wearing Diamond Armour, the player will receive an "Immunization" effect. This mitigates Poison effects, and perhaps some more simple negative potion effects which a player commonly comes across.
