Coloured (Dyed?) Redstone Lamps

I feel like allowing Redstone lamps to glow in other colours would be amazing for redstone builds. One suggestion for how they work could be that different strengths of input give different colours (Red for 1, Orange for 2, etc.) so that more advanced builders could implement colour changing and even make fully functional displays! However, this could be considered unintuitive and strange to players who don't know how they work, and it could just look like it is displaying random colours.

Another suggestion could be that the lamps are crafted with stained glass panes, and that the lamp doesn't change colour. I think this option would be better for beginners, allowing them to easily create colourful and bright builds, but players wanting to create larger, more advanced circuits, or just want to change the colour of the lamp, might feel dissatisfied. It all depends on whether you want to prioritise builders or redstoners with this addition.

As for crafting recipies, I would suggest using amethyst as an ingredient, as I have heard many members of the community mentioning it's limited or trivial uses, and it would be fun to see it get more uses.
