I always heard the Copper rails as a new Powered rails, but I have another idea! I present to you the Persistent Rails:
Made by Copper and Redstone (and probably a Honey comb), this rail, if it's powered by Redstone, will maintain the speed of the Minecart, making its speed not decrease or increase, if it's off will act like a normal rail. There are some cases where this rail can be useful:
- Climbs: Before you need some Powered rails to climb a hill in a minecart, but now with Persistent rails you just need one to up and one to down
- Train tracks: You can save many Powered rails in your train track, just need one in the start and one in the end, the rest of the rail track is made by Persistent rails, so the minecart can go at the same speed all the track
- Roller coasters: Imagine being on a roller coaster and going up slowly, then coming down quickly! We can recreate this effect with the Persistent rails
The community can find more uses to this and I think something that can make more people use minecarts. Thanks for reading! :D
