Intro
A new curse which can spawn anywhere the other two curses spawn, but with slightly rarer frequency. The Leaching curse acts similar to mending in the sense that it will heal the item its on, but will drain your health in order to do so.
Complex mechanics
When the item with the curse has a green damage bar it will take 1/2 heart every 1 second until fully healed. when yellow it will take 1 heart every 1 second, and when red it will take 1 1/2 hearts every 1 second. Green bars will take two hearts to heal, yellow four, and red six.
Alternative simple mechanics
The item with the curse will always take 1/2 heart every 1 second until healed. Green bars will take two hearts to heal, yellow four, and red six.
Why?
Since 1.11 there have only been two curses in the game, while they are good and have created some fun moments between friends I (and many others) believe that it's time to add a new curse to the game (especially since there have been so many new enchants.)
