Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Powered Copper Rails

In the Minecraft Java latest snapshot (24w33a) i noticed an opportunity to make Minecarts faster by using Copper to make new powered rails, it won't ruin existing maps and structures because they still use the ones made with gold and redstone. It would be a cool addition to the game since it may make traveling through different biomes and into locations much faster without the use of Elytra, Ender Pearls and nether portals.

This is the way to go. These new powered rails should give an additional 8 blocks/s boost (16 total), and be crafted by combining a powered rail with 2 copper ingots on the sides. You combine copper with a powered rail instead of having a separate recipe because gold is generally rarer than copper, so it'd be strange if the recipe with the rarer material were less valuable. This nested recipe would ensure that the more powerful powered rails would require more materials & effort than normal ones.

Alternatively, the existing powered rail could be replaced with a copper recipe & texture while the new 16-block/s rail could be made with gold instead.
