I have a problem:
If I make a Nether Portal in Base 1, then go into the Nether and back, I will come back out in Base 1. This is good.
If I then make another portal in Base 2, then go into the Nether and back, I come out in Base 1.
I think I should come out in Base 2, where I originally came from.
To fix this, I propose a system where, upon creating a portal in the Overworld (Portal A) I should arrive at the same co-ordinates in the Nether. If I make another portal in the Overworld (Portal B) one block away from Portal A, then this second portal should appear 8 blocks away (In the nether) from Portal A.
Also, if I make two portals in the Nether (Portal C and D) that are 3 blocks apart, they should both appear as one portal in the Overworld (as they are in the same 8 block radius in the nether, which equals to a 1 block radius in the Overworld).
This will solve my problem, as (for example) if I created two portals in the Overworld (Portal 1 in Base 1 and Portal 2 in Base 2), 64 blocks apart, they appear 4 blocks apart in the Nether (1 Overworld block = 8 Nether blocks).
Portal 1 in the Overworld/Nether will always return to its counterpart in the opposite dimension, and so will Portal 2.
Its a little hard to wrap your head around, but it should make working with portals so much easier:)
