Sail-able Boats

I don't know how feasible it would be in the base game, but I think it would be awesome to have a system where a player could make a boat (Possibly be limited to a certain size to prevent lag), and sail it and create interior for. Let's say there is a block you can craft utilizing a boat, redstone, diamonds, iron, netherite, or whatever else. This block can "assemble" a boat the player has made as long as it doesn't exceed the possible entity limit. There could be upgrades to extend the size if possible. Or if all of that is not on books, there could be an upgrade path for existing boats to be bigger, have interiors, and extra storage. I just like to see buildable ships, airships, cars even, without mods. Mostly sail ships.
