In Minecraft, there are currently only two types of weapons, ranged and melee. Those are swell, but this game has LOTS of Fantasy elements, so the only magic being enchantments and potions is very odd. So there should be an introduction of: Magic weapons, And I have an idea for one! Currently, there is no way for early game magic, so it feels very barren in the fantasy aspects other than the cool mobs you encounter, so my idea is for an early game weapon, The Basic Wand! It would be cheap, I was thinking a copper Ingot, a stick, and a bit of glowstone, as you can get that from wandering traders, witches, or cleric villagers. However, alone, it does nothing, doesn’t even have durability. Instead, to cast spells, you need a magic fuel and a spell tome! Spell tomes would be fairly common items in structure loot, and be duplicated with a book. The fuel would dictate what spells you can cast, at three tiers; lapis for tier I, blaze powder for tier II, and dragon’s breath for tier III, so it can be in every stage of the game! Some spell ideas I have are:
Heal I- heal a target 2 hearts, cost 9 lapis, medium cooldown;
Stab I- deal 1 heart of magic damage, cost 6 lapis, low cooldown;
Spikes- summon spikes in an area of effect for 10 seconds dealing two hearts per second, cost 12 blaze powder, high cooldown;
Shielded- grant 10 new hearts to target for 6 seconds, cost 1 breath, high cooldown;
Fireball- basically just a nonexplosive ghast fireball, cost 6 blaze powder, medium cooldown.
