Crafting:
This block is crafted with an ominous trial key, 2 copper blocks and 6 tuff blocks. It does not matter if any of the copper is waxed or not.

Activation:
The structure used to activate the trial reactor core is the same shape as the old nether reactor, except copper blocks are used in place of gold blocks, and polished tuff is used in place of cobblestone. There is also chiseled copper that is used in place of the lowest central cobblestone. Any of the copper may be waxed, and it does not matter if any of the copper oxidises by any amount.

To activate the trial reactor core, the trial reactor core must first be placed on the chiseled copper, then a trial key must be used on it.
Usage:
Once the trial reactor core is activated, the following things happen:
- A tuff spire will generate.
- All the copper will immediately fully oxidise in the trial reactor structure regardless of oxidation stage or whether the copper was waxed or not.
- Trial chamber mobs are spawned, starting a trial in a similar manner to trial spawners, except all trial chamber mobs can spawn from the same trial reactor core.
- If the player has had Bad Omen or Trial Omen, the trial will be ominous.
The tuff spire is like the old nether spire, but the tuff blocks in the tuff spire can only replace blocks in the minecraft:replaceable block tag and air blocks. The trial lasts until all the remaining mobs are defeated. 15 to 30 trial chamber mobs must be defeated before the trial ends. Once the trial is over, the trial reactor core will reach a burned state, release a valuable reward like diamonds or emeralds, then the trial reactor core will explode with an explosion power of 4.
