A feature classic games have sometimes included is the ability to spend extra lives, coins, collectibles, etc, in order to execute a powerful, whimsical attack. Minecraft levels are mainly used for smithing and enchanting, and it would also be cool if the player could, spend levels to activate a power proportionate to the levels spent. It could be a short burst of strength, regeneration, or AOE damage (it would be interesting if the player could somehow customize this effect.) It would be an interesting option among power-ups such as golden apples and totems of undying, that gives more RPG flavor, and another use to the dozens of levels of xp that players tend to accumulate, after all their enchanted gear has already been made.
