Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Soul Candles

These candles are crafted like normal candles but with added soul sand or soil. Their function is to stop mobs from spawning. The more candles you put on one block, the range increases for stopping mobs from spawning. The candles don't give off any light, so it's easier to mob-proof and keep a dark build. Of course the candles won't work if they are unlit.
