Copper would be so good if it was used for armour. If it’s not it’s kinda useless unless you are making a base or something like that out of the copper blocks, thank you ☺️☺️😊😊

I don't think this do the copper be useful, because, after all, the players are going to the Diamond and Netherite armor, and even if it has advantages or special abilities, few people want to use it. The best way (in my opinion) to improve the Copper is with items and mechanics, not armor or tools, at the end, minerals like Iron are useful even if you have full Netherite armor because it has other uses.

I'd love it if a copper tool/armor set replaced Iron. I suppose in the grand scheme of things both would still be out-shined by diamond and netherite, but it would still be great to have iron be closer to 800 or 900 durability and then put copper at the 250 point. It'd be a little stronger / faster than stone and would be a requirement to mine iron ore (instead of stone tools), but with how prolific copper is in the game it'd be perfect at that durability level. From a historical perspective, this progression would fit perfectly since Humans naturally went from stone/flint -> copper/bronze -> iron -> steel(diamond?).

I think Mojang could also use the oxidization effect to their advantage. Like over time the copper tools oxidize, which forms both a protective coating and further damages the tools, like the chance of the tool being damaged is less, but when it happens it is at a higher amount depending on the oxidization level; fresh copper tools would take 1 damage each use, but fully oxidized copper would take 4 damage per use but would have a lower random chance to be used. Or if they didn't want to go this route they could instead affect other aspects of the tools, like attack/tool speed decreasing each oxidized level but the harvest level would increase bringing fully oxidized tools at the same level of iron, so fresh tools can't harvest diamond/emerald/gold ore but fully oxidized can.

Essentially be a toolset between stone/gold and iron that scales up by oxidization.
