Making minecarts faster

I know that this is a really popular proposal but I never really heard of any good idea on how to fix it so I want to share my idea:

What you could do is add a new type of powered rail made of copper which would be exactly like the already existing powered rails. The powered rails crafted with gold would work like a more powerful version. (I suggest making it like 200 or 300 percent faster) This would have a series of positive results:

1 More people would start using minecarts for transportation

2 It would give another use for copper which (for some reason) people still complain about even after the 1.21 uptdate

3 By making powered rails cheaper and faster it would be a really good alternative to the elytra which make every other transportation basically useless
