Tons of people always want it, but I have a perfect recipe for one and a design idea. So, in the 3x3 crafting menu, a chain is placed in the center with an arrow at the top middle. A bow is below the chain and there is Redstone on the sides and iron in all four corners, the other recipe idea is arrow in the middle top, chain in the middle, Redstone on the bottom and iron down the sides. The design could be something like the "Hookshot" mod, it could be designed as a reinforced bow, or something like a fist that shoots an arrow attached to a chain out. The perfect grappling hook code was shown in the April fools potato update! And it's not too far off from the style of minecraft, since we can already fly, why not have a dulled down early game form of it? And there's also a mace now! Its an idea people have wanted for years and with today's items, its fully possible! The chain would finally have a recipe its used in too! Then that opens up possibilities for new enchantments, maybe a "Distance" enchantments to make it shoot further with a max of 3 or 5, or even a "Reel" enchantment to make it yank you faster and stronger! If you think about it from a design and aspect point of view its not too far off from the mace. It could also have its other own uses like pulling mobs or people back at you, like a better fishing rod, speaking of that, the design could also be a reinforced fishing rod! And it could also pull items toward you! I hope you consider this idea thoroughly.
