Calcite chalk drawing

I have an idea for a new way to use calcite.

Currently calcite can only be found inside of amethyst geodes. I think it should also be found under lakes in veins of 4-5 blocks.

Players would be able to craft calcite into four pieces of chalk that can be used to make 8x8 Chalk patterns on the face of non-transparent blocks. Chalk patterns are meant to be purely cosmetic and does not permanently effect blocks, they can also be destroyed by rain, sprinting mobs and players.

Shift + RClick - - - Draw or erase pixels
RClick - - - - - - - - Remember / Cycle patterns
Shift + LClick - - - Break & forget pattern

Players would remember patterns in a list, cycling patterns changes it to the next in the list. Just imagine players quickly swapping patterns in a cloud of their own chalk...

Chalk pieces would be able to last forever seeing as it acts more like a novelty item rather than a tool. Players would be encouraged to leave little signs for themselves everywhere.

Chalk patterns could also appear as preexisting cave drawings that hint players about nearby cave features such as mob spawners.
