What about an enchantment called ‘Shatter’ that allows tools to never break, but when they reach 0 durability, they don’t work until you repair them? But it shouldn’t be allowed to be mixed with Mending, as you’d then have an insanely overpowered item.
And how about letting armor trims use Glowstone Dust? Then the trim sections glow in the dark, whereas the rest of the armor remains dark!
How about you can enchant regular books with Mending using an Anvil, but the Mending book uses durability each time? Then the regular books can function as one of any material for use on tools and armor in the Anvil, making it slightly less expensive to repair equipment, but the Mending book can’t be used unless it’s at full durability. I feel like this would create harder decisions that would still allow each player to play to their own style.
Throwing axes would be cool! They could function as regular axes, but you can’t use them for melee, only ranged attacks! Maybe they loose durability each time, but can be picked up like arrows?
New crops! How about rice, corn, tomatoes, that sort of thing? Let’s get a farming update! Scarecrows would be cool too (and crows!)
