Comets!!!! These fire balls could potentially hit the world on your very first night in the game or later on! Apart of gameplay can be discovering this comet full of these items; quarts, iron, cobblestone, gold ingot, copper, diamond, deep slate, etc.
This comet would be a fun adventure similar to discovering a treasure chest. I believe that the comet would create a crater in the ground and would explode like tnt, causing blocks to be thrown in a radius around the comet. Items discovered would be within comet/meteor.
Comets can vary in size. Radius could include 4-15 blocks or potentially bigger. These comets can be rare in bigger sizes.
Comets can potentially be a meteor shown through meteor showers. This phenomenon would be extremely rare to the over world and create a spectacle in the sky.
Designing this comet would be fairly straightforward as for it could be simple in shape (circular sphere) that explodes on impact, causing minimal damage to the ground. For aesthetic purposes, it would catch trees on fire due to heat. Not only that, but I believe magma blocks would create a great crater look.
Finding these comets would be extremely fun and interesting. Not only does it make a new way to discover items and the over-world, it would make for a great update and make the world more immersive.
