What am I proposing?
So in Minecraft, players have access to mob/player heads. Which with using command blocks for creative worlds/modified survival worlds can be very useful for adding some simple vanity Armor or small props for builds. I'd like Mojang to include "Player Armor" which would be the remaining parts (torso, leggings, boots) that's texture would by default be Steve but can be commanded to use a Player ID's skin, just like the head.
How does this benefit Minecraft?
This Armor would not effect Vanilla Survival playthroughs. The core purpose of this Armor is to have the ability to use this command feature to have people design their own armours for community servers or creative builds. A lot of creative abilities open up when you start thinking how you could decorate an Armor stand to transform it into some specific prop in your build or what clothing you could make for a maps specific theme.
How should Mojang go about creating this?
The biggest piece of work I THINK they would need to do is just making the chest plate's sleeves take up the whole arm. Other then that, the Armor would have no benefits or be on-par with Leather. And the inventory icons could just be painted to look like Steve's clothing.
