The archeology update in my opinion was lacking in many places. Loot tables, locations, and just how common/uncommon they are. I know the development team works so here's one idea on how I think they could improve it.
add more spawn locations. Most people want an update towards the desert so why don't we add fossils that spawn that we can find in the desert. Imagine yourself looking over the dunes and seeing spots of fossils or digs sites that you can run over to and start escvating at. What if you could find new items for each biome? Then it gives a reason to travel. People choose a task based of value, accessible, simplicity, and a few more. That's why people go to the trial chambers. They're fun, easy to understand, and give the mace, breeze charges and more. Another one is the end. Why don't we have archeology in the end. If the point of archeology is to dig up past relics wouldn't the end be great? Also the nether. I think if we could find not just cosmetic, but usefull things like the mace, but only in certain biomes and expand where they can be found it would be much more useful. It would be so cool going to jungles and finding something unique to bring home. Not an idea just an example, but imagine going to the jungle so you can find a rare egg that gave you a skeleton parrot, and ik this will never get added, but finding an ancient saddle for pandas. Like you know people would travel with there brush to get that. All in all make it more commonly found.
