Arrows used for more just than combat? I know many people are wanting a use for the fletching table in minecraft. It's placed in the same category as the grindstone, crafting table, furnace, and more, but has no apparent use like the others. Sure it gives villagers another class, but why not more. The Spector is already a great example; I'm talking about expanding more though. I don't want to make something that is so specific its rarely used or something that would replace what we already have and love. I want to improve multiple parts of the game. One thought I had was using the sniffer to make new effects with its ancient flowers for the arrows. Imaging using the torchflower arrow to actually make shootable lights. This would improve caving, traveling, and my favorite, underwater exploration. Shoot a friend and make them a walking light bulb or even yourself. This wouldn't remove torches as they aren't permanent. Plus it would be balanced with night vision as you can stack arrows, but not the potions making them better in different ways. Another option is glow ink sac. 2nd arrow type could be the "arrow of marking" it would have a longer despawn time and be crafted with an echo shard just like the recovery compass. It could also be crafted with dyes giving it new arrow tails. This arrow would be marked on locator maps. It would also have a different colors on the map depending on the dye. The arrow could mark players, land, and creatures. great to explore. Thanks MC.
