Crafter toggle slots for more stations

The crafter is a cool feature that is added this update and one of it's main functionalities is the ability to toggle slots to prevent items from falling in them. I think it would be cool if this feature could be available for more stations such as the hopper, dispencer and chess to allow better transportation of items. Say you want to make an item organizer, you have to deal with those extra no good slots that other items can fall in making the machine more complicated and tedious to build but with the ability to toggle the extra slots and have only one would go well. Other builds I made that this feature would've come in handy is a security door that uses a specificly named item to open like a card but I have to make many copies of the same item to fill up the extra slots. Another build is a vending machine. Mainly I would like to have this feature for hoppers, 5 slots is cool for other builds but for specialized builds they get in the way which would make slot toggles similar to the crafter useful but for now we have to use crafters as a hopper middle man XD.
