Please get rid of despawning

I do not understand why items in minecraft despawn it doesn't make any sense and it is so scary worrying that your diamonds will disappear forever so mojang please remove it from Minecraft it would even make it more realistic

    Would you rather: Have no diamonds OR 12 FPS?!?!?! I'd rather have no diamonds because my friend has X-Ray :)
