Now that there are azalea trees in the game that use oak logs as their trunk, I think there is a really obvious and easy implementation for aspen trees in the game. These aspen trees can spawn in birch forests, but they still use birch logs as their trunk. The only difference with aspen trees is that their leaves are a yellow color, which offers so much more variety for builders when it comes to foliage, and these leaves drop a different type of sapling (an aspen sapling). Similar to how azalea trees re-use oak assets, the aspen tree can be relatively easily added into the game without creating an entirely new set of wood or an entirely new biome, while still adding more versatility for builders and explorers, by simply re-using birch assets.
