Currently progression is pretty linear in this game, so adding magic items and weapons would make a great third way of combat. Here are some staffs, alongside their stage in the game, and the materials required.
-Copper Staff
Fires a small yellow ball of energy
Requires copper, early game
Has a chance of spawning lightning when it rains when used
-Staff rod
Rare item that spawns in any abandoned structure
Used as the base for mid-late game staffs
-Amethyst Staff
Fires a crystal at the target enemy, each shot slowing it down by a *little bit* and sticking a crystal onto the target
Requires Staff rod and 1 amethyst, mid-game
-Lapis Staff
Casts fireballs, lighting the target on fire (due to flame/fire aspect)
Requires Staff rod and lapis, mid-game
-Emerald Staff
Summons a few small weak allay-like fighter minions to aid you in a fight
Requires Staff rod and Emerald, mid-game/late-game
-Netherian staff rod
Used to make late-game “hot” staffs
1 Staff rod, 2 blaze rods, 1 netherite ingot
-Crioniean staff rod
Used to make late-game “cold” staffs
1 Staff rod, 2 breeze rods, 3 diamonds
-Diamond Staff
Freezes/slows down the *targetS* in a radius significantly (Also does cold/powdered snow damage)
1 Crionean Staff Rod, 3 blue ice, 1 diamond
-Fire Staff
Vomits a mountain of fire, blowing back and burning targets within a large radius (Long cooldown)
1 fire charge, 1 wind charge, 2 blaze rods, 1 Netherian staff rod
