Minecraft for PlayStation®5 out now in Preview!

A native PlayStation®5 version of Minecraft is coming to Preview and we need your help to test it!

If you own the PS4® version of Minecraft for your PS5®, you'll be able to access this early version by navigating to “Settings” and then “Preview” within the game. This preview includes the new Tricky Trials Update, so venture into the trial chambers, meet the breeze, craft a mace, raise your guster banners, and more.

    You forgot to add the background music when hovering over the game. Add the same one as ps4 version cause it is good

    I feel the ability to engage ray tracing is a must in this game version~
    The PS5/XBox Series are more than capable of handling complex lighting in an array of other games and we’ve had the option “visible” but just greyed out on the current game version for some time now!
    The stability even on the current version seems very good to me so maybe new seemingly hinted at features may be something to test out soon?

    It’s a little laggy but other then that is fine I can’t really see a difference between ps4 and ps5 I would love to see ray tracing on the ps5 even if it’s not full ray tracing new lighting and shadows would be awesome

    120Hz, and a setting to increase graphics and a setting to control the fps display area

    I would like them to add more adjustments to the graphics of the game since being a PS5 I suppose there will be more possibility to modify those settings. It would also be great if they used the technology offered by the Dualsense control of this console in both vibration and adaptive triggers.

    Finally, I would like to add that the worlds that we have in our game on PS4 can be transferred to the PS5 so as not to lose them.

    Hello Minecraft,

    Can you please add a 120hz version for the PS5 players and a fps display area? Can you also add ray tracing if it's possible and if it's not possible can u add realistic shaders like the java version ?

    Needs optimization because on 36 render distance I get 30-40 FPS instead of 60. Needs 120 FPS and upscaling + ray tracing support, the PS5 is more than capable of handling these options

    It’s basically the same it’s a new way to waste money and storage cuz there is still no vibration or adaptive triggers so take advantage of that Minecraft cuz otherwise it will be really good and don’t forget about ray tracing for PS5 players

    I think it is a tiny bit laggy at times but overall it runs pretty smoothly. However, as well as others in this section i do also believe we need an option for 120 fps as there are lots of people such as myself that prefers framerate and performance over resolution and the way the game looks so I do believe it would be great to have the option there.

    Fetching Retail Worlds do anything?   Let it sit from main menu, and via Options were you can click it on.  

    (only 2 saves to pull from 30mb and 90mb)  I let it sit for a good 20mins now.   Nothing.

     

    2nd, I get Forced Ps5 Controller is likely a Sony Issue. I don't care for extra Features, But wear and tear on a $70 controller for "Minecraft" is not something I want.  If its something on your end, please enable its use.

     

    Abit disappointed  Some of better graphic setting didn't get put into Test Version. 

    Its been more Stable, and has not Hard Crashed my Ps5.  (which is Huge this far)

    It would be great if joining friends worlds with add-ons were more stable, when downloading add-ons it sometimes freezes and you need to restart the download

    When playing survival, if you lose hearts and then heal yourself through filling your hunger bar, the last half of a heart does not fill no matter how long you wait. I just thought I’d report this here so that other people can see and are aware of this

    The ability to add shaders n stuff would be a game changer, mods as well, I know add-ons are in the game but they really just don't match the fun mods can give so I think mods would be fantastic, 120 hz would be great as well.

    When it said it was going on ps5 you would think it would get some better graphics, the glass block would join together with out the border going between them and in general adding shaders to it. I don’t have pc, I play ps5

    I really need the ray-tracing to be an option, the ps5 is very available to have it. Or just make it possible to download from the item shop some shaders.

    Please make it have Java code 🙏🙏 Java code is so much better than bedrock and this version should be made to make Minecraft an actual console version instead of it just being pocket edition with a controller. Everyone would love it and also add shaders, ray tracing and just make the game look better visibly
