Request to Continue Providing PDB Files in Future BDS Versions

Dear Mojang Studios,
 
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing on behalf of many in the Bedrock Dedicated Server community to express our concern regarding the removal of PDB files in the latest preview version (1.21.10). Historically, PDB files have been crucial for debugging and maintaining plugins loader that enhance the BDS experience. Their absence in future releases could have severe negative impacts on our community.
 
PDB files provide essential debugging information that allows developers to create and maintain plugins loader effectively. Without these files, updating and ensuring plugin compatibility with new BDS versions becomes exceedingly difficult, potentially leading to a decline in available custom plugins and tools.
 
A lot of bedrock servers rely on a wide range of plugins to offer unique experiences and manage server operations. The lack of PDB files hinders the ability to debug and update these plugins loader, which could result in server closures and negatively affect the player community.
 
While we understand the security concerns that may have led to this decision, we believe alternative measures can address these issues without compromising development needs.
 
We urge the BDS development team to reconsider the removal of PDB files. Maintaining these files is vital for the continued health and growth of the BDS community. We hope to finding a solution that addresses security while supporting development.

    PDBファイルはTheHIVEやアドオンを遊ぶまたは作る際にものすごく重要になってきます。私はこの二つを楽しむためにBedrock editionをしているのですが、このファイルがなくなればこの二つの要素を楽しめなくなり、同時にMinecraftをプレイする理由がなくなります。Mojangさん、どうかMinecraftを面白くさせないで下さい。このファイルを消したらプレイ人口を減らす最悪なアップデートと言われるでしょう。だから、絶対に、PDBファイルを消さないで下さい。

    If Mojang really removes pdb, I will quit the Bedrock Edition and use its pirated version, because the official version will lose motivation without pdb! Request that pdb be returned in future versions!

    Mojang, keep the PDB files. The importance of these files are very extreme. Removing the PDB files is like replacing the heart with a stick and calling it an improvement, it simply degrades every single users experience. Sure, this is about hackers, but they *always* find a way around these roadblocks. Removing the PDB files will just postpone a problem that will always be here unless actual action is taken. One approach for hackers is, making the automod more reliable and not ban you for saying "hello".

    I am writing to express my concern regarding the recent removal of a crucial file from the Bedrock Server without prior communication. This decision has had a significant impact on the community, which relies heavily on this file.

    Previously, you assured us that you would prioritize community engagement and communication. However, this action contradicts those assurances, especially after recent efforts to rebuild trust following negative feedback about game updates and broken promises.

    Removing such an important file without informing the community has understandably led to a resurgence of negative comments. In this instance, these comments seem justified. 

    If you plan to remove the PDB file, I strongly recommend updating the reference documentation(if u can even call it that) accordingly to support those affected by this change.
