Request to Continue Providing PDB Files in Future BDS Versions

Dear Mojang Studios,
 
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing on behalf of many in the Bedrock Dedicated Server community to express our concern regarding the removal of PDB files in the latest preview version (1.21.10). Historically, PDB files have been crucial for debugging and maintaining plugins loader that enhance the BDS experience. Their absence in future releases could have severe negative impacts on our community.
 
PDB files provide essential debugging information that allows developers to create and maintain plugins loader effectively. Without these files, updating and ensuring plugin compatibility with new BDS versions becomes exceedingly difficult, potentially leading to a decline in available custom plugins and tools.
 
A lot of bedrock servers rely on a wide range of plugins to offer unique experiences and manage server operations. The lack of PDB files hinders the ability to debug and update these plugins loader, which could result in server closures and negatively affect the player community.
 
While we understand the security concerns that may have led to this decision, we believe alternative measures can address these issues without compromising development needs.
 
We urge the BDS development team to reconsider the removal of PDB files. Maintaining these files is vital for the continued health and growth of the BDS community. We hope to finding a solution that addresses security while supporting development.

    Java player sending their support. As a Java player I enjoy modding the game. Mods like Blue Skies, Better Nether, The Aether, Applied Energistics 2 and many, many more provide fun content for the game when I get tired of the base game. Mods for older versions of minecraft such as Cypress and Reindev have been some of the most fun I've had with the game in a long time. I cannot imagine minecraft without mods, and I understand that Java is not always an option for all players. If you take away the PDB file,  you alienate a huge portion of the community, and take away that feeling of freedom and creativity that minecraft is known for. There is no one correct way to play minecraft, and that includes whether you play vanilla or modded. By taking away the ability to create mods, Mojang goes against their long-standing motto of "We don't want to tell the player how they should play the game"

    PDB is very important for us and bedrock edition! If PDB is deleted,Minecraft BE will be dead!Minecraft is my favorite game,I really don’t want to see it being dead!

    Pdb is very important for bds. Community developers can develop server anti-cheating system to prevent plug-ins through pdb. If there is no pdb bedrock server, plug-ins will fly all over the place. Please continue to pass pdb.

    Please Mojang, I just bought this game few day ago because I felt bar pirating such an amazing game. Don't ruin it for me and everyone else. Notch wouldn't have done it if he was in charge. Don't kill the most important thing which is keeping this game alive. AND THE THING IS, THE EASE OF MODDING THE GAME. We can easily mod this game so as a community we will never run out of content to play and discover. So please don't kill this amazing game. Your occasional updates are not enough to keep this game well and alive. We need the modders. What makes Minecraft a sandbox game is the ability to easily mod it and being able to do literally anything and everything. So please don't do it.
