Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Minecart stopper

As a person who likes to build railway systems in Minecraft I think some sort of minecart stopper would be very useful. Unlike the activator rail, which ejects a player in a minecart, this rail will just immediately stop the momentum of any minecart that travels over it. It must be powered by redstone to take effect. This new type of rail would be very useful in creating railway systems that automatically stop at different places.

    If you make the minecart drive into a wall and fall 2 blocks down, it will lose all its momentum and land on a new track, giving you back control over how fast the minecart goes. This is what I use in combination with the gamerule that increases Minecart speed so they don't overshoot through unpowered activator rails. 

     

    The design is hard to explain but you can probably figure it out yourself. Maybe this helps you. Of course a new set of rails is always appreciated. I just wanted to comment this.
