A very simple yet very impactful idea for the desert

Dear Mojang,

What if cactus fruit was added to the desert? I mean, the desert is already a bit of a death sentence, because of the desert temple trap, and the fact that you might starve there, so why not add a bit more life to the desert (not counting the desert villages). A cactus fruit would be really useful in case you run out of food in the desert. they would also grow on cactus flowers: a pretty little pink bud that sprouts on cacti. Plus, cactus flowers and fruit (which I believe should be placeable) would be a nice decorative addition to building projects. Please consider adding this to Minecraft, Mojang.
