Skeletons bow breaking

I was trying to setup a scene for minecrafts 15th anniversary but when I tried to break the skeletons bow for the scene, it didn't work, I want this feature to be added

    I wish skeletons could spawn without a weapon sometimes.
    to balance it they can only drop Bones now arrows or bow, and they drop bones way less in order to keep bones valuable because it's easier to kill a skeleton without a bow.
