Look having addons on bedrock is great especially for Xbox users who couldn't have them before, but the way the money hungry Microsoft has decided to do it just divides the Minecraft communities more. Java has access to third party websites and application that allow them to boot straight into all kinds of mods modpacks and addons FOR FREE. While laptop users still have this ability to import mods/addons from places like mcpdl, Microsoft's Xbox department has done everything in their power to stop Xbox users from being able to get addons texture packs and all things in between from mcpdl, I know this because I've been importing mods from that website to my Xbox Minecraft for years and they've managed to ruin every method that people come up with all because they don't want people to get addons for free on Xbox, they want money and are hungry for it like no other company. They bought a game from pc and then turned it into a pay to win game where having fun is held behind paywalls. addons should be free and while people should 100% be paid for making these addons, Microsoft overprices these addons to take a chunk of money for themselves. I'm not saying make addons free or anything as that would hurt my favourite bedrock development organisations, I'm just saying that they should AT LEAST be A LOT cheaper. if they wanted to close the gap between bedrock and java. they would.
