We know that "Sharpness", "Smite" and "Bane of Arthropods" are incompatible with each other; this is a problem, as the majority of the time "Sharpness" is the one players pick, as the others are really situational (especially "Bane of Arthropods") and pepole prefer having 3 more damage (lvl 5) to everything, instead of 12.5 more (lvl 5), but on a specific category of targets.
I therefore propose this solution: remove "Sharpness" from the incompatibility list, and make the other two enchantments do 3 less damage at level 5 (so 9.5), therefore following this scale:
"base": 1.5,
"per_level_above_first": 2.0
(Total at level 5: (2×4)+1.5 = 9.5)
This way, when you have both "Sharpness" and one of the other two, you will still do the usual extra damage to the specific targets, but you will also have the 3 extra damage to everything else (example: "Sharpness" and "Smite": if you hit a zombie, you will do the 9.5 extra damage from "Smite", plus another 3 from "Sharpness", for a total of 12.5, wich would be the same extra damage you would do before this change with just "Smite"; but now, if you hit a creeper, you will still have those 3 extra damage)
I think this change would be beneficial to give this two enchantments their chance to shine (even if "Bane of Arthropods" would still be used less than "Smite", but this would be a step in the right direction)
