Expanding upon the addition of any, hand, and armor from 1.20.6, I’d love to see the addition of the categories hot bar and inventory in 1.20.1. Already these last updates have given me so much inspiration for my own data pack, but I find myself thinking how many cool new items I could make with these categories.
Items like charms of shielding or a ring of health in the hot bar, low gravity necklaces or totems of archery or swordsmanship that could influence stats without being in the two hand slots would be huge. Especially with the new data driven enchantments. Perhaps even passive inventory enchantments like an aura of thorns or a cactus charm could be made. This could also give players interesting choices to make in planning their hot bar if a datapack maker gives them enough different and interesting choices. Is it better to have constant extra luck for better loot or to die less from passive health or armor buffs? Mining faster from a rare stone, or combat boosts from a scroll of martial arts?
