More sky-related events!

I feel like Minecraft is particularly bland when it comes to the sky, either being sunny, night, or raining. For the sake of immersing players into the game even more, why not add meteor showers, or a few shooting stars here and there? In the snowy biomes, there could be lights like the Northern lights with a rare chance of occurring. Comets, more variety when it comes to sunsets, cloudiness without rain. I think it would be a lot more pretty and add to the nature of the game, plus make it really seem like time is passing by!
