Mushroom wood has been a much suggested feature, but I might as well give the general spiel again.
Craft the stems from Giant Mushrooms found in the overworld into white planks.
This would play off of the mushroom woods of the nether, as well as make Mushroom Island survival viable. It would be more replenishable than nether shroomwoods too since the mushroom blocks would drop mushrooms that would allow for replanting and bonemealing to get more.
Where my idea slightly differs is inspired by an old developer tweet that I think existed but cannot find, where Dyeable wood was shut down likely for a few reasons, taking too many namespaces, having a lot of variant blocks, and also likely the fact the new take on coloured wood the game seems to be going in, going for more unique style of coloured wood rather than just the 16 dye colours, adding more the Minecraft colour palette outside of these 16 colours.
Regardless, I would still like to suggest this as I still feel like it could be a cute addition to the game. The dyed wood would be very bright colours, making it very good for bright and immediately colourful builds, but not so much for more balanced block palettes. This would give it a sort of playful vibe, while also letting it steer clear of stepping into the colour territory of other woods. Only close calls would be Cherry and Bamboo.
Unlike other woods, they would have a very smooth and clean feel to them, and have heavy emphasis on bright colours.
That is all, thanks for read-
